Southern Health-Santé Sud successfully completed Sequence 1 of the four-year provincial sequential accreditation model in May 2025. The full report is now available on our Public Website.
Preparation for Sequence 2 which will take place in May 2026 is well underway. The focus this year will be on the acute program standards including:

• Critical Care
• EMS & Interfacility Transport
• Emergency Department
• Inpatient
• Obstetrics
• Perioperative & Invasive Procedures
• Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices
• Service Excellence (for acute programs)
• Infection Prevention & Control (for acute programs)
• Medication Management (for acute programs)
