Please be advised that on the evening of June 3, all workstations and servers in SH-SS will receive an upgrade to the Trellix security software. During the upgrade, users may see a Windows warning popup indicating that there is no virus protection, and they may lose connectivity for up to two minutes.

Following the upgrade, users utilizing docking stations or USB peripherals may need to restart their workstations.

WhyTrellix has released a newer version of the HX agent, this change will address the workstations and servers that are
running the outdated version and bring them in line with our security standards to version 36.30.17.
WhenSH-SS Workstations & Servers – The upgrade will be initiated after normal business hours on June 3.

What• During the upgrade process users may see a warning popup from windows stating there is no Virus Protection.
• For users using docking stations and/or USB peripherals they will experience external monitors and USB peripherals disconnecting and reconnecting.
• There may be impact to network connectivity during the upgrade as well.
This is only temporary and will return to normal after the upgrade is completed. (Usually 1-2 minutes)
