The Southern Health-Santé Sud 13th Annual Public Meeting was held on October 8, 2025 via Microsoft Teams where well over 100 participants joined to hear about highlights from the past year.

Chairperson Adam Monteith opened the meeting with a heartfelt message acknowledging outgoing CEO Jane Curtis. “Jane set the course and worked hard to prepare her team so when she was asked to step into the interim CEO position in Winnipeg, the Board was confident in asking Dana Human to take the reins as Interim CEO here at Southern Health-Santé Sud.”

The agenda included an update on achievements highlighted in the 2024-2025 Annual Report themed The Power of Listening. Interim CEO Dana Human and Board Chair Adam Monteith shared updates on capital building projects in the region, achievements from engagement efforts and some innovative advancements among other important accomplishments from the past year. A financial report was presented by VP – Corporate Services & Chief Financial Officer, Ainsley Wiebe. Quality Service Awards were also presented to multiple individuals and groups that were nominated by their peers.

The meeting concluded with a Question & Answer period and words of appreciation to the community, volunteers, staff and physicians.
