Topic: What is Palliative Care

The 6 modules will help staff understand events and their role when someone is receiving palliative care. Each module has a quiz and evaluation to complete – you must complete these modules in their entirety; progress will not be saved if you exit-leave your browser/course open until completed. No certificate of completion is provided. When Modules completed, please let your manager know and they will add to employee personal file.

Module 1: Changing Illness Trajectory and the Integrated Palliative Approach to Care (1 h 10 min)

Module 2: Communication and Psychological Support (1 h 5 min)

Module 3: Pain, Suffering and Symptom Management (1 h 5 min)

Module 4: Person Care and Nutrition (1 h 10 min)

Module 5: Dying, Final Hours of Care, and Loss and Grieving (1 h)

Module 6: The Role of Support Workers and Self Care (35 min)

Progress will not be saved if the user exits out of any of the modules. While taking breaks, be sure to leave your browser/course open.
