The new Safe Work Procedure for EVAC CHAIR and training video. This piece of equipment can be used for vertical emergency evacuation if a patient is unable to descend the stairs independently or with 1-2 minimal assist.

Currently, this equipment is at Bethesda Regional Health Centre and Lions Prairie Manor. Education roll-out can begin as soon as possible at these facilities. Minimum training requirement for staff is to watch the video.

A patient may be transferred on the EVAC CHAIR with assistance or by mechanical lift.
