Volunteer Resources
Volunteers play an important role within Southern Health-Santé Sud. Volunteers join our teams who are committed to contributing time, talents, and passions to others in the community. Their time, energy, and dedication support us and the work we do.
Persons interested in volunteering are invited to visit our public webpage Volunteers and sign up.

Young Workers
When hiring young workers, or inviting young workers to volunteer within the workplace, there are a couple of extra steps that we, as an employer, must do to ensure a safe work environment.
Young people who are 13, 14, or 15 years of age need to complete a Young Worker Readiness Certificate Course, available through SAFE Work Manitoba, before they can begin working/volunteering.
As well, there are additional rules that restrict a young person’s hours of employment and the types of work they can perform. Please review Employment Standards’ Young Employees Fact Sheet for information.
