A Lunch and Learn event was held on June 24 as part of the Indigenous Cultural Safety Series, drawing participation from a number of staff across Southern Health-Santé Sud. The session featured Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers who shared personal stories and reflections to deepen participants’ understanding of Ojibway, Dakota and Métis communities and cultures. Through open dialogue, the panelists offered valuable insights into their lived experiences and responded to participant questions around meaningful steps toward reconciliation. The session was a powerful educational experience for all in attendance. We extend deep gratitude towards the Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers who contributed their time and knowledge for this event.
