Welcome to the virtual education session of Infection Prevention and Control – Nutrition & Food Services!

Who Is It For?

Employees of Nutrition & Food Services in Southern Health-Santé Sud, who are involve in preparation, handling and serving of food.

What Is It?

This educational resource is created to increase employee knowledge and awareness of safe food handling, sanitation and tasting practices in order to help prevent the spread of germs, reduce the risk of cross-contamination, and keep both clients and staff safe.

This course will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Please thoroughly read through the instructions below to complete virtual education session.

Prior to starting the course, please ensure you have the following:

  • a distraction-free space
  • a stable internet connection
  • approximately 10 minutes to dedicate to completing the course
  • 5 minutes to dedicate to completing the Knowledge Check Quiz
  • a personal device (computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone)
  • speakers or headphones for audio sections
  • Hand-in Package (electronically fillable version)

Instructions:

STEP 1: Click on the Hand-in Package to save electronically or print prior to starting the course as you will need to complete, and sign this package as you go through the course. This package will need to be given to your manager/site educator/ designate in order to have a record of completion of this education in your personnel file.
