Disrupting Indigenous Anti-Racism Training:

Moving Beyond Cultural Sensitivity in Health Care

Who should attend: all staff are welcome.

Indigenous graphic of sunSince 2021, the First Nations Health and Social Secretariat of Manitoba (FNHSSM) has been delivering a 10-week Indigenous Anti-Racism Training to health care professionals across Manitoba. This presentation will provide an overview of the training, including session logistics, weekly themes, and reflections from past participants. The training is designed to move beyond cultural sensitivity and toward systemic change in health care, by confronting Indigenous-specific racism and promoting equity and culturally safe practices. We look forward to sharing this work and connecting with those committed to meaningful change.
