Manitoba Stroke Day 2026 | Enhancing Stroke Care Across Manitoba
(An In-Person and Virtual CPD Event)
Learning Objectives:
- Approach to patients with TIAs and minor stroke. Also learn about the advanced process of how, who and when we should refer those patients to stroke clinics, from either a family physician clinic and/or emergency department.
- Understand the dilemma with Atrial Fibrillation from identifying and management in TIAs and stroke patients as well as address the uses of anticoagulations. Be aware of stroke mimics and its presentation. Learn about advances in therapy of carotid disease. Also to learn about image findings in stroke.
- Identify the rules of Heart and Stroke Foundation in public education and supporting stroke care across the nation. Be aware of high risks of Dementia and cognitive issues in patients with TIAs and stroke, and how to reduce such risks.
- Learn about the importance and the valuable services provided by community stroke program in Manitoba.
