Getting Ready for Accreditation using “Mini-Tracers” (Virtual)
These 90-minute, instructor-led virtual sessions are designed to help your team prepare for Accreditation using Mini-Tracers.
A Tracer is the method Accreditation Canada surveyors use during on-site visits to evaluate organizations against accreditation standards. By following the journey of a patient or process, surveyors ask questions and make observations to determine whether standards are being met.
These sessions will provide a practical overview of how Mini-Tracers can be used internally to strengthen readiness and ensure alignment with accreditation requirements.
Target Audience: Directors, Managers, and staff from all Health Authorities who may lead or participate in Mini-Tracers
Course Objectives:
•Describe the Accreditation Canada surveyor tracer method
•Identify the four tracer steps
•Identify what is involved in planning and conducting Mini-Tracers within your Health Authority
•Recognize Mini-Tracers as a Quality Improvement Tool
