16th Annual PHIA & Privacy Week 2025
Theme: Navigating Privacy in a Connected World: Protecting Information, Building Trust
Previously branded as PHIA Week, this event is set to deliver an engaging and insightful lineup of speakers from the Manitoba Ombudsman’s office, eChart, Digital Shared Services and the Manitoba government’s Access and Privacy Branch. Participants will gain valuable knowledge and practical tools to enhance their skills in protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal and personal health information. The week will conclude with an in-person workshop tailored specifically for privacy officers and delegates, offering case studies and expert advice.

Resource Speaker: David Fox
David holds a Masters in Computer Science with a specialized focus on Combining Human Computer Interaction & Software Engineering Methodologies. David has an impressive background, having previously worked in the web agency world with the award winning company Tactica and in the military defense sector with General Dynamics as a Human Factors engineer.
Over the last twelve years he has been involved in the healthcare paradigm as a web application developer having recently transitioned into Security & Risk to work in cybersecurity field.
