Theme: Navigating Privacy in a Connected World: Protecting Information, Building Trust
Previously branded as PHIA Week, this event is set to deliver an engaging and insightful lineup of speakers from the Manitoba Ombudsman’s office, eChart, Digital Shared Services and the Manitoba government’s Access and Privacy Branch. Participants will gain valuable knowledge and practical tools to enhance their skills in protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal and personal health information. The week will conclude with an in-person workshop tailored specifically for privacy officers and delegates, offering case studies and expert advice.

Speaker – Christine Aymont, CHIM, Manager, Virtual Care | Digital Shared Services
Christine is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience in the provincial health system, specializing in health information management, system implementations, and operational support. As a certified health information management expert and member of the Canadian Health Information Management Association, she has played a key role in advancing digital healthcare solutions.
In her current role, she leads a dedicated team focused on supporting virtual communication and consultation services across the health system, including MBTelehealth, eConsult, Microsoft Teams, and TigerConnect, ensuring seamless and secure collaboration in patient care.
