Presenter: Dr. Vanessa Poliquin
Dr. Vanessa Poliquin is a distinguished clinician-investigator and associate professor at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. With a medical degree from the University of Western Ontario and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Manitoba, she further specialized with a fellowship in reproductive infectious diseases and a master’s degree in epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Dr. Poliquin has been a pivotal leader in women’s health, notably co-chairing the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada’s Infectious Diseases Committee during the pandemic. She now serves as the department head of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences and the Shared Health Provincial Medical Specialty Lead for Women’s Health. Committed to advancing her field, she continues to contribute through research, mentorship, and leadership.
