Regional Obstetrical Orientation 5-Day | DAY 2 (BTHC)

Regional Obstetrical Orientation is comprised of 5 days and staff are required to attend all 5 days of the session.

Who should attend:  RNs and LPNs new to the Obstetrical Unit

Held in the Multipurpose Room

Day 2 – Labour & Delivery

• mechanisms of labour
• supportive care in labour
• emergent delivery
• fourth stage of labour
• spiral electrodes
• intrauterine pressure catheters
• induction of labour

Important Reminder to Staff:

• Please register for the other ROO days to complete the 5-day Regional Obstetrical Orientation.
• Each day requires separate registration. Please refer to StaffNet – Education Events under “Perinatal” or “Orientation” category to see all ROO dates.

Note to Participants

• Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration.
• No registration fee for this session.
• Participants will be responsible for their own meals/drinks/snacks.
• Registration closes (1) week prior to the session.
