Regional Obstetrical Orientation 5-Day | DAY 3 (BRHC)

Regional Obstetrical Orientation is comprised of 5 days and staff are required to attend all 5 days of the session.

Who should attend:  RNs and LPNs new to the Obstetrical Unit

Held in the Summit Room

Important Notice: September ROO (BRHC) Class will be held at La Broquerie Boardroom

Day 3 – Procedures & Pain Relief

• pain relief in labour
• epidurals in labour
• operative vaginal delivery
• shoulder dystocia
• postpartum hemorrhage
• twin delivery
• breech delivery
• caesarean section
• VBAC

Important Reminder to Staff:

• Please register for the other ROO days to complete the 5-day Regional Obstetrical Orientation.
• Each day requires separate registration. Please refer to StaffNet – Education Events under “Perinatal” or “Orientation” category to see all ROO dates.

• Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration.
• No registration fee for this session.
• Participants will be responsible for their own meals/drinks/snacks.
• Registration closes (1) week prior to the session.
