Regional Obstetrical Orientation is is comprised of 5 days and staff are required to attend all 5 days of the session
Who should attend: RNs and LPNs new to the Obstetrical Unit
Held in the Multipurpose Room
Day 5 – Newborn Assessment & Care
- newborn assessment
- late preterm infant
- newborn treatments
- hypoglycemia
- hyperbilirubinemia
- newborn sepsis
- pain management in the newborn
- neonatal abstinence
- neonatal seizures
- introduction to the ACoRN process
- infant safety and discharge
Note to Participants
- Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration.
- No registration fee for this session.
- Participants will be responsible for their own meals/drinks/snacks.
- Registration closes (1) week prior to the session.
