Regional Obstetrical Orientation 5-Day | DAY 1 (PDGH)

Regional Obstetrical Orientation is comprised of 5 days and staff are required to attend all 5 days of the session.

Who should attend:  RNs and LPNs new to the Obstetrical Unit

Held in the Classroom

  • document standards

  • perinatal assessment
  • triage orientation
  • antenatal antibody development
  • hyperemesis gravidarum
  • pyelonephritis
  • STBBI
  • Leopold’s maneuvers
  • pelvic exams
  • antepartum hemorrhage
  • PROM/PPROM
  • preterm labour
  • DVT/PE/AFE
  • post term complications

Important Reminder to Staff:

  • Please register for the other ROO days to complete the 5-day Regional Obstetrical Orientation.
  • Each day requires separate registration. Please refer to StaffNet – Education Events under “Perinatal” or “Orientation” category to see all ROO dates.

Note to Participants

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration.
  • No registration fee for this session.
  • Participants will be responsible for their own meals/drinks/snacks.
  • Registration closes (1) week prior to the session.
