Walk a Mile in my Moccasins

Geared for today’s diverse workforce about Indigenous people. Applicable for all staff to learn how to provide more effective and culturally competent workplace strategies to work with and build stronger relationships amongst Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Participants who attend the session may also experience Indigenous cultural practices such as:

  • Sharing Circle
  • Smudge Ceremony

Objectives… learn

  • about the true history of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
  • about Indigenous worldviews.
  • about the Impact of Government Indian Policies and Practices on Indigenous peoples
  • how the Residential School System has impacted Indigenous Peoples
  • build a culturally safe health care organization
