Our Regional IP&C Team has updated the Occupational Health Infectious Disease and Upper Extremity Supportive Device Work Restrictions Standard Guideline and the Occupational Health Illness, Restrictions & Precautions Table. We used two main references when updating the table, namely:

• MB Health Transmission Tables
  • Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living. (June 2019). Routine Practices and Additional Precautions: Preventing the Transmission of Infection in Health Care.
• WRHA OESH Manager Guideline
  • Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. (2019, Aug 29). Guidelines for Occupational Health Follow Up of Communicable Diseases for Managers/Supervisors.

Some of the changes were made to provide more clarity, while others were made to align with these reference documents. Our MOH, Dr Davinder Singh, has reviewed and approved all changes made in the table.
