PHIA for Health Care – Is it time to refresh?
Staff are obligated to protect personal information and personal health information in accordance with privacy laws and organizational policy. As with any important obligation, it is essential to periodically refresh our understanding of the requirements that guide how we protect information.
A simple and effective way to do this is by completing the PHIA for Health Care course on the Learning Management System (LMS). This course is taken every three years to help ensure you remain current and confidently uphold these obligations.
If you are unsure when you last completed the PHIA for Healthcare course, you can check your learning history within your LMS account. Managers may also contact Shelley Friesen, Staff Development Coordinator to confirm when their staff last completed the course.
