Self-Service Password Resets Coming Dec. 1, 2025
We are pleased to announce that on Dec. 1, 2025, Digital Shared Services will be implementing two additional self-service password reset options for users who have forgotten their password. These options are only applicable to a user’s primary account* and for those who are registered for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Starting Dec. 1, you can reset your network password by:
- Selecting “Reset Password” from your workstation’s login screen.
- Visiting https://aka.ms/sspr from your workstation.
The self-service password reset process uses the Microsoft Authenticator app, which most staff already use for remote access and other applications. If you have not set up MFA yet, you’ll need to install the app to use the self-service password reset feature. Find out more about MFA here.
For step-by-step instructions on the self-service password reset process, please refer to the Self-Service Password Reset Quick Reference Guide.
Important: the self-service password reset will not work from home if you cannot log into your work computer. In that case, you will need to go into your workplace and try to initiate the self-service password reset again. If that does not work, contact the Service Desk for assistance.
If you encounter any issues, or prefer not to use the self-service options, you can still contact the Service Desk at any time by calling 204-940-8500 or 1-866-999-9698 for a password reset.
*Depending on your job requirements, you may be provisioned with multiple accounts. Your primary account is the account used to authenticate to Teams and/or Microsoft MFA. If you are unsure what your primary account is, please contact the Service Desk.
