I am thrilled to share that Frieda Penner has accepted the role of Scheduling Coordinator with Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Frieda has worked for the region since 2006 and has held a variety of positions, including roles in Support Services, Administration, Finance, Management, and most recently as the Payroll & Scheduling Clerk for Altona Community Memorial Health Centre. She has been a wealth of knowledge at the site for many years, and her analytical thinking, sharp reasoning and approachable demeanor will make her an incredible asset in the Scheduling Coordinator role.

This is a newly created position, specifically designed to enhance, standardize and oversee the staff scheduling services across the region. With the transition of payroll functions shifting over to Shared Health, we have been navigating the separation of the payroll and scheduling duties which have inherently been combined over the years.

As Scheduling Coordinator, Frieda will be moving to the Human Resources Department, reporting to myself and working closely with the Labour Relations Team. We can’t wait for Frieda to begin this important work and will share more information once Frieda orientates to the position and we create opportunities for her to connect with Schedulers and Staffing Clerks across the region.
