Updated Process for Reporting Suspicious Emails in Outlook
As part of our transition to Microsoft Exchange Online, enhanced security features are being introduced to help protect you and the organization from malicious or unwanted email.
These updates provide simplified options in Outlook for reporting suspicious or junk emails.
- Using the Report Phishing button sends potentially harmful emails for automated AI driven analysis, helping improve our ability to detect and respond to phishing threats.
- Using the Report Junk button helps Microsoft filter out unwanted or spam messages more effectively, reducing the amount of clutter that reaches your inbox.
What to Expect
A new, built‑in Report Phishing and Report Junk button is available in the Outlook, allowing you to quickly report malicious or unwanted messages.

Your Outlook client or configuration may be different from the above, in which case, you can use the Report Message button on the right-hand side of the ribbon to report Phishing and Junk emails.

A new Report Phishing and Junk Email Quick Reference Guide is available with step‑by‑step instructions.
