Level II Venous, Arterial & Mixed Lower Leg Ulcers | Virtual
Course is identical to those which are taught at the sites by Advanced Wound Care Clinicians.
Prerequisites (preferred): Wound Care Education Level 1
Who should attend: open to all SH-SS staff
Level 2 – (register for one date) – provides the clinician with the skills to identify the types and etiologies of leg ulcers using a Lower Leg Assessment, and to initiate Elasticized Tubular Compression in the absence of arterial disease. The Wound Bed Preparation Paradigm, will be integrated into the review of diagnostics and investigations essential to treating leg ulcers, including wound dressing options.
NOTE: Certification in Level 2 Venous, Arterial, & Mixed Lower Leg Ulcers will occur when clinician has completed return demonstration in a subsequent 2-hour course which will be scheduled on completion of the Level 2 course.
