SCHIPP | Peer Leader Refresher
Southern Health–Santé Sud is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all health care workers (HCW) and patients/residents/clients. It is our responsibility to provide training to staff on safe client handling procedures and the equipment required to assist the client to reduce hazards and promote safe work for both the client and each health care worker.
The SCHIPP Facilitators have developed a one-day REFRESHER class for Peer Leaders. The Peer Leaders will be reviewing skills, problem solving through case studies, learning new techniques and assessment skills. Time will be available to brainstorm during group discussion, to celebrate the successes, reflect on the challenges of their SCHIPP program and how to maintain enthusiasm for the program.
Refer to Safe Client Handling and Injury Prevention Program
