Please join us in congratulating Brad Street on his upcoming retirement!

Brad has worked in a variety of positions, sites, and programs during his 34 years in healthcare. He started with Southern Health-Santé Sud in 2000 as a Community Mental Health Worker IV. His Psychiatric Nursing training took him far, and over the years he worked in a variety of Community Mental Health and Acute Care facilities. He started with Human Resources approximately 10 years ago, tasked with leading our efforts in managing new Accessibility legislation, eventually becoming a Disability Case Coordinator in 2016 and then Labour Relations Officer in 2022.

Brad has been a valuable member of the Human Resources Team, particularly in 2023 when we had a turnover in the department and he assisted with mentoring two new Labour Relations Officers. He was a member of the 2023 Prof/Tech bargaining committee and was later selected by Provincial Health Labour Relations Services for a secondment to assist with other bargaining work. Brad has been instrumental with a number of projects, most recently with standardization of annual hours for our CUPE and MGEU bargaining units. Based at Boundary Trails Place, Brad has primarily supported our sites and programs in the mid area of the region, and assisting throughout when needed. We will miss his knowledge and experience, his dedication, and perhaps most of all his sense of humour.

His last day will be April 18, 2025 and we will communicate shortly about our interim plan while we recruit his replacement.
