In November of 2014, a Green Belt Lean Project was chosen to help identify inventory discrepancies in the Boundary Trails Health Centre Logistics & Supply Chain Management department. It was noted that in a period of one year, there was $9,000 plus dollars of inventory that was unaccounted for in two rows of the warehouse. The team focused on the amount of dollars in inventory stocked on the identified two rows, analyzing activity, monitoring cycle counts, and identifying weekend/off hour access to department for obtaining goods. Our goal is to identify where the errors/omissions are occurring, correct and spread once success has been achieved.
