Improving Medical Patient Access and Care to Therapy Services

Project Status: Complete

In February 2012 a Green Belt Lean Project was initiated to focus on Improving Medical Patient Access and Care to Therapy Services (IMPACTS). In improving medical patient access and care to therapy services, patient flow need to be evaluated to ascertain that the service is adequate and timely. Our goal is to understand this process more fully, identify opportunities for improvement, test trial changes and consider spreading changes if tests are successful. Success will be measured by achieving improved communication between staff, increase access to appropriate equipment, and have patients ready at the appropriate time resulting in a decrease in minutes of unscheduled interruptions.
