Respite Restructurers

Project Status: Complete

In October 2014 a Green Belt Lean Project was initiated to increase the usage of the respite bed at Rest Haven Nursing Home. We were looking at the perceived barriers of C.A.K.E or Cost, Access, Knowledge and Environment. The team identified that with improved communication to all stakeholders the usage of the bed will increase. The project has proven successful at Rest Haven in 2015 and 2016 we continue to have a 100% respite bed usage rate. We are sharing the information from our project with other facilities who may be experiencing the same issues.
