SOS (Surviving Operational Staffing)
Project Status: Complete
In March 2012 a Green Belt Lean Project was initiated to focus on improvement of staffing processes for clinical units at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. The site was experiencing many challenges with job postings & job position assignments in the electronic system. During the project, the team was able to implement electronic forms & standard work processes that achieved project goals. A 49% improvement occurred in the time required to enter employees into the electronic scheduling system. A 58% improvement occurred in the amount of data entry errors.
